About Carbon Fiber Enhanced Filaments: Unleash Superior Strength & Precision

Benefits
  • Significantly Increased Strength & Stiffness: The embedded carbon fibers create a composite material that is much stronger and more rigid than the base plastic alone, allowing you to create robust and resilient parts.
  • Improved Dimensional Stability: The fibers act as a scaffold within the material, helping to mitigate warping and shrinking as the print cools. This results in parts with higher accuracy and better retention of their intended dimensions.
  • Excellent Surface Finish: Carbon fiber filaments often produce a beautiful, matte, and slightly textured surface finish that helps to mask layer lines, giving prints a professional, high-quality appearance.
  • Lightweight Performance: Despite their increased strength, carbon fiber parts are often lighter than their pure polymer counterparts, making them perfect for applications where weight reduction is critical.

Warnings and Advisories
  • Hardened Steel Nozzle REQUIRED: The abrasive nature of carbon fibers will rapidly wear down standard brass nozzles. We strongly recommend using our hardened steel nozzles (or other wear-resistant nozzles like ruby-tipped) to prevent damage and ensure consistent extrusion over time.

Recommended Starting Printing Settings
  • Carbon Fiber ABS (CF ABS): Refer to the same print conditions as our standard ABS filament.
  • Carbon Fiber PETG (CF PETG): Refer to the same print conditions as our premium PETG filament.
  • Carbon Fiber PLA (CF PLA): Please refer to the specific guidance on the product box for optimal results.

The above settings are general guidelines. The exact optimal settings can vary slightly depending on your specific 3D printer model, the brand of filament, and even environmental factors like room temperature. Always refer to any specific recommendations provided by the filament manufacturer on the spool or packaging.
