SunLu Wood Filament can be sanded

This filament works great for anything you want to look like wood. I use this for tarantula hides, baby grout and many other things. Can also be textured like wood.

Related Material: Wood Filled 3D Printer Filament Benefits
  • Authentic Wood Appearance: Prints with a genuine wood-like grain and a matte finish that can vary in shade depending on the wood type and finishing.
  • Easy to Print (PLA Base): Most wood-filled filaments are based on PLA, making them relatively easy to print on a wide range of desktop FDM 3D printers. They generally require similar printing temperatures to standard PLA.
  • Lightweight: The wood particles can make prints slightly lighter than solid plastic equivalents.

Warnings and Advisories
  • There are two WOOD filament recommended print temperatures, please check the package label before you start printing.
  • Nozzle Size: It is highly recommended to use a 0.4mm nozzle or larger to prevent clogging, as the wood particles can sometimes jam smaller nozzles. A 0.6mm nozzle is often preferred for a smoother experience.
  • Nozzle Wear: Over time, the abrasive nature of wood particles may cause increased wear on standard brass nozzles. Consider using a hardened steel or wear-resistant nozzle for extended use.
  • Lower Print Speeds: Printing at slightly slower speeds (e.g., 30-50mm/s) can help achieve better layer adhesion and prevent clogs.
  • Heat & Over-Extrusion: Printing too hot or with excessive flow can lead to burning of the wood particles, resulting in darker spots or charred appearances. Adjust temperature and flow settings carefully.
